Obstetrics

Greenville Health System offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecological care for women of all ages through the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

When it comes to childbirth, GHS physicians and nurses are the most experienced in the area – delivering nearly 6,000 babies each year. An expanded, state-of-the-art Women's Hospital is home to extensively equipped labor, delivery, and recovery suites where attending obstetricians, neonatologists, and anesthesiologists are on-site around the clock. Greer Memorial Hospital also features the latest technology in labor and delivery care.

Our critical care OB services are among the most comprehensive in the state. A team of paramedics, a specially trained respiratory therapist, neonatologists, and a specially trained nurse are on call to transport critically ill or premature infants to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Experienced physicians provide a full-range of care throughout the spectrum of a woman's life, from pediatric and adolescent gynecology through menopausal management and geriatric medicine. Patients benefit from the latest research in medical science, high-tech equipment, specially trained nursing staff, and dedicated inpatient rooms for those recovering from surgery.

Many of our physicians have completed fellowship training in sub-specialty areas, including reproductive endocrinology and infertility, maternal-fetal medicine, urogynecology, laparoscopic surgery and gynecologic oncology.
